An established mid-tier firm in George has a vacancy for a resourceful and solutions orientated Attorney, specialising in Deceased Estates and Wills, to form part of their dynamic team.

The role requires high standards in terms of service quality, technical competence and needs a confident, effective individual who can communicate effectively. The successful candidate will also be responsible for building strong client relationships.

The firm delivers expert audit, assurance, tax, accounting and consulting services to clients in almost every sector.  The network has 13 independent member firms across South Africa and is part of one of the largest international networks of firms in the world.


  • Ability to independently attend to estate planning, drafting of wills, administration in deceased estates (from start to finish)
  • Drafting wills independently (assistance provided in complex cases)
  • Estate duty calculations
  • Estate administrative functions and tasks
  • Trust deed updates and changes
  • Preparation of Liquidation & Distribution account
  • Drafting of elementary Liquidation & Distribution accounts
  • Transfer of movable assets e.g. shares, firearms and vehicles
  • Reconciliation of bank accounts
  • Drafting of elementary cash statements
  • Preparation of final tax return
  • General typing and filing duties
  • Own vehicle, a valid driver’s licence and willing to travel when needed
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines

  • Bachelor of Law / LLB·
  • South African citizen


  • 2 to 4 years’ post-article experience in estate planning, drafting of wills, administration in deceased estates and compliance as well as trust administration
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel and Microsoft Office

Salary:  R20k to R30k pm, depending on experience
