Appointment Requirements:

• Grade 12 with Degree in Transport Management / Social Sciences (NQF Level 7)
• 6 – 8 years Supervision / managerial experience within the licensing environment
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Primary Function:

Manage the implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting sequences of
outcomes associated with plans and procedural application designed to accomplish key service
delivery objectives with respect to the provision of vehicle and licensing service through the coordination of operations and quality of NRTA 93 of 1996. Ensure that the Department achieves the
SDBIP’s as mandated by the City of Joburg.

Key Performance Areas:

Plan, organise, lead, control and direct the Key Performance Indicators and
outcomes of personnel in line with allocated resources within the Motor Vehicle Registering Authority,
Driver Licensing and Vehicle Testing Centres. Implement and manage procedures, systems and
controls to regulate specific work sequences associated with the functionality. Manage the assets of
the Unit.

Leading Competencies:

Knowledge of legislative prescripts. Knowledge of policies and procedures
in a local Government sphere.
