This person will lead the Innovation Team. He/she will be responsible for developing our Innovation pipeline as well as the growth and development of Category Entry Points working closely with our cross functional teams and agency partners to deliver full through the line Marketing product campaigns to unlock sales overnight and brand over time.
- Lead the strategy and thought leadership – 30%
- Lead, coach direct reports and partner cross-functionally to deliver pipeline – 50%
- Provide input to the annual operating plan and process – 20%
The right person will have experience in working on a big brand with both strategy experience and creative experience. International experience is an added benefit.
Demonstrated experience of not only leading teams but developing people.
- Tertiary degree level qualification, with major in marketing/business-related discipline preferred
- Post graduate qualification preferred and highly favoured
- Min 8+ years business experience, with at least 3 yrs in a senior marketing position
- Team leadership responsibility, at strategy formulation level in a Consumer Products Company, preferably R1bn+ in size; Retail, service and/or multi-outlet industry highly regarded
- Experience in corporate and/or strategic planning, branding, advertising, sales promotion, product development, pricing, market research
- Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills and a strong team leader
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- High work ethic with the ability to work under pressure and overcome adversity
