Job Description

The IDT is a Schedule 2 Public Entity, established as a development management agency. Its primary role is to influence, support and add value to the national agenda. The IDT is mandated to measurably impact on the eradication of poverty and to improve the quality of life of poor, rural and marginalised communities.

To assist us in achieving this, we wish to appoint dynamic individuals in the following positions:

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FACILITATOR x 2

JOB LEVEL : BU

LOCATION : NELSPRUIT
DURATION : Contract Ending 31 March 2022
PORTFOLIO : PMSU (EPWP Programme)

PURPOSE :

To perform social facilitation and stakeholder mobilisation for the programme including site visits, public body visits and social audits.

REPORTING :

Programme Implementation Manager.

REQUIREMENTS :

A National Diploma in Social Sciences / Development Studies, unendorsed code EB drivers licence or similar, Own reliable vehicle. Minimum 3 years’ social facilitation experience.

Competencies:

Project management, Social analysis, Stakeholder mobilisation, Capacity-building, Knowledge of the EPWP will be an added advantage. Skills: Analytical Skills, Computer Skills, Interpersonal Skills, Report writing Skills, Communication Skills, Co-ordination Skills, Organising Skills, Presentation skills, Problem-solving.

DUTIES :

Conduct social analysis, Perform social facilitation in terms of principles of the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP), Facilitate conducting of Social Audits, Conduct project visits, including public body site visits, Ensure Beneficiary Management, Provide Report.
