The appointee should:
  • Be in possession of Grade 12 Certificate / N3 Engineering Studies
  • Hold a relevant / valid Artisan Trade certificate and Statement of Results / Gap Analysis (RPL)
  • Hold a Foreman Certificate
  • Have at least 5 years’ relevant experience as an Artisan
  • Proven track record of availability of equipment under his/her watch
  • Proven track record and knowledge of:
  • Planned maintenance
  • Availability of equipment you have maintained
  • Be in possession of a valid driver’s license
  • Have mining experience and understand mining processes
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Good analytical and decisions making skills
  • Computer Literate in full MS Office Suite
  • Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre
Advantageous requirements:
  • Knowledge in projects;
  • Completed law and technical abilities syllabus and assessments in the foreman’s certificate program
  • Completed the managerial syllabus in a Foreman Certificate Program
  • Previous underground mining and engineering experience, especially Conventional Shafts;
  • Knowledge of SAP;
  • RCA and Failure Analysis experience;
  • Winder, Chairlift, Conveyor Belt and Underground Railbound Equipment Experience.
